I have owned many in my 58 years on earth. my personal fav for everyday big game hunting is my mark x made by whitworth. Santa Barbara mauser action with fullnstock. double set triggers and butter knife bolt chambered in .308 Winchester. my safe also has parker hale , remington, ruger, winchester, spencer

Yes, manlicher shonaour is a style started by steyr in ww1, their have been many companies use the Mannlicher–Schönauer full stock, generally people relate that to manlicher name, it just stuck but full stock is proper. I had a friend who started working for Purdy and sons in London at ag 16 the moved to Canada working for Ithaca. he taught me much about guns and gunsmithing. ill get some pictures of my 308 tomorrow

I look forward to seeing it, I love the classics.
I'm in the middle of restocking a very early English hammerless sidelock 10ga at the moment, a slow process to say the least.
