Florida has enacted a sales tax holiday for the purchase of "qualifying hunting, fishing, and camping supplies" from Sept. 8 - Dec. 31. HB 7031.
The tax exemption is for certain camping and fishing supplies, up to a certain dollar limit; firearms, ammunition, firearm accessories (charging handles, cleaning kits, holsters, pistol grips, sights or optics, and stocks); and bow, crossbow, and some related accessories, with no limit on sale price.
I do not see any mention that the firearms-related exemption is limited to items designed or intended for hunting.
If you're thinking about making a big purchase of an exempt item, particularly a big firearms, bulk ammo, or bowhunting purchase, before the end of the year, you can save quite a bit of money by waiting until September 8.
