FOOD PLOTS

He is nice. That wasn't my deer. I had that deer come in on me while climbing up a ladder. He stood in front of me for about 5 mins and I finished climbing to my seat. As he stood at 60 yards broadside with shrubs in the way of my shoot. That was Illinois, that guy killed him 2 days after I left, he is another buddy of my friend that I hunt with. I wish I took him, he is a stud
Golden triangle im assuming? Ive dreamed of hunting there in my lifetime. I bought a Lyman break open muzzleloader back in 2008 I lived just across the border but I never got to go, these days I have dad responsibilities, perhaps after he is grown some I can take my son too, ge will be 12 in November. your friend is lucky maybe you not getting him was meant for you to bag another in the future

I'm hoping so my hunting buddy called me about a month ago and told me he was moving out of Illinois. I almost started to cry. Then he told me he was moving to Montana and I had a place to stay when we were hunting. So I felt better. I told my neighbor that I lost my Illinois hunts and he informed me that he had a ranch up there and I could hunt with him. That week turned around quickly

Nice, doubled up. Montana is amazing I used to hunt third rifle season in Colorado for elk and mule deer then hit Wyoming and Montana, I hunted for a full month, having a home and 2 acres (rv with 2 stalls for animals) near grand junction with a horse and a mammoth jack. I was a driller (oil and gas) i loved that life but I grew old for some odd reason 😆 30 years if working on the road makes fir a weary body

Yeah Wyoming and Montana are great, we have been to Wyoming a number of times and at one point looked at buying some land. And after my wife and I sold our business we traveled in the states, we drug our 5th wheel as far as Glacier National Park and loved it. Not sure why I'm still in Florida, I am over the heat and seem to love the cold.lol

Im drawn, I was born in California as well as my son, near the Oregon border in the alpines. I was raised in a swamp in northeast Texas, I miss the high mountains especially trout fishing. I dont mind the heat of Florida or the extreme weather trends. My son has been in florida since he was 4 after living with his grandmother in japan for almost 3 years. I met his mom in Toyota. My son loves this country life, I will probably never leave this place unless I pass away. But those western hills always leave me dreaming.

I'm from South Georgia and have been in Florida for over 45 years. I love the South but the amount of people in Florida sucks. My wife's family has a farm in Georgia and I love it there, it is slow and relaxing. 45 mins to a Home Depot, 30 mins to a Walmart and any fast food. My son told me wife and I that he was thinking of moving to Montana, we laughed since he had never been there or know what the weather is like in winters there. He is still here in Florida 😆

Weather can be different lol I remember -16 in Gillette Wyoming. Sunny and frozen, exhaling and seeing crystals form in the sunlight from the moisture. Unpredictable to say the least. McClure pass, Colorado sleeping in a tent in November at 9000 feet elevation listening to the elk bugle at night, three pairs of socks with thermals in a sleeping bag and freezing my bwalls off wondering wth I was doing there. I don't know if you have ever been to some if the tiny towns around here but I am 20+/- miles from any city, no city council here, no police department, one stop light with a dollar store and small gas station, No conveniences here. Nighttime is peaceful with no neighbors ,just wind and trees, everyonce in a while the coyotes go at it or the Bobcats scream. Quail chirps sometimes dove too, I love this country life, but most importantly my family is safe and my son is happy, he comes before anything else on this planet

The area you are is like our GA farm except no stop light or dollar store. We were in Wyoming a few years ago in the Gros Ventre mountains at -14 on snowmobiles and watching antelope on a ridge.
