Began my journey with a beat up .410 as a kid and have since progressed from there. Right now, I mainly use 9mm and 5.56, but I still have a fondness for shotguns because they were my first love.

Same here. My shooting began with BB guns & pellet guns, but the first " real gun " was an old, cheap Savage .410 break action when I was 7 yrs old. I spent 1 yr learning general shooting & gun safety before going squirrel hunting the first time at 8yr old with my grandpa. I had to learn how to hit everything with that gun for the next 5yrs. Then I was given an old cheap, nearly shot out Rem .22 bolt action w/ iron sights & a 200.00 12 ga pump.
I had no clue that learning how to hunt all small game, walking, hopping, & flying with that .410 single shot would make me a really good instinctive shooter much later in life, thats highly adaptable to all kinds of shooting. I do a lot of bench rest target shooting these days, & hunting of course. The forum is relatively new, & barely any acticity & interaction. PLz feel free to try to help & contribute to it wherever you would like to start. This was a good start.

Welcome aboard, good to have more members!

What’s your favorite kind of shotgun? For me, I like my old classic pumps.
But a nice double is irresistible.
