Not sure of your fishing rig, but I don't think it was meant for gators. Congrats on the ability to bring him in. And yes, the little ones do like the top water jigs.

Dang, you beat me by two feet!

I caught a three footer on Blue Cypress lake last month, he hit my pencil bobber and snagged himself on my hook.

He was fine, but my cork bit the dust…

I’ve got pictures, but not sure about the legality of accidentally catching a gator.
