I've been working on developing a new load for my .308 rifle using 168 grain Amax bullets. So far, I've completed testing several powder charges and I'm seeing some promising groups at 100 yards. What combinations have worked for you in this caliber?

My go-to powder for .308 with mid weight bullets is IMR4064, I shoot a lot of Nosler 168gr CCs in both bolt and semi auto (M1A) with great results. The .308 is a forgiving cartridge to load for and works well with a variety of powders, great cartridge!

Details & specifics matter! That should really be on a T-shirt IMHO.
So plz give what specific testing method you did ( full ladder test 1 shot per charge weight at 10th of a grain increments, or 3 shot groups, 5 or 10 shot groups at 1g increments for example ), at what distance did you test, what velocities did you get, do have & use a chrony, and what powder you used & at what weights did you start & stop your testing, how many powders did you test with, and what were the results of your testing? Where did you pull that load data from?
" Promising ", define what is " promising " to you. ie: is that 1moa or 2 moa @ what distance? What level of accuracy are you after - 1 moa or hitting a tick in the testicles off a deers back at 300 yds

I was hoping you would tell me 😀. Please post loads & data for all to see - maybe we can tweak and find the right one!
