Thanks for joining the Florida community — this space is for anyone who enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, or just getting outside and exploring what our beautiful state has to offer.

We're excited to build a local community where folks can share tips, photos, spots (or at least hints), and stories from the woods, water, or trail.

If you know others who enjoy the outdoors, feel free to invite them. The more locals we have here, the better this place gets.

i don't hunt, and gave up fishing years ago because it just became too much work.
But we have a small farm on a dead end dirt road six miles outside a one stop light town of less than 1900 people so I get to spend a lot of time outdoors.
The back of our property is heavily wooded, with more woods and pasture on three sides. I've got a chair out there and I just like to sit in the quiet and enjoy nature and enjoy life.

Sure beats where I grew up - over crowded Palm Beach County.

That's awesome, Florida has really changed, and I've just begun to explore the more rural parts, and I like it. Florida isn't just beaches and theme parks that's for sure.

A beautiful and rural area is in the Panhandle, a wide spot on a back road named Two Egg. Yes, that's the real name.
It lies in the area that has Alabama just to the north and Georgia just to the east. Rolling pastureland and the border with Georgia is a big lake that is part of a wildlife management area.

Wife and I dreamed about retiring there, but it just never happened. And oddly enough our neighbor was born and raised in Two Egg.
