I have experimented with the 300AAC since 2018, I have found the bolt gun in 16 inch very optimal for accuracy and superb velocity. The depicted slug is 100 yard shots into wet sand, velocity in book form is 2400 fps, I dont own a chronograph so...the target was inside 1 inch, not bragging but im bragging, my 11 year old son shot that group, custom remington 700 started life as a 223 remington i changed the barrel to an original AAC 16" 7 twist i found after remington and AAC went under, tubb speedlock duo spring firing pin assembly, timney competition yellow trigger, vortex viper 4-14x44. soft shooting and completely accurate and humane to 200 yards
