Would appreciate information as to powder & bullets used in reloading the old 32-20 wcf rifle cartridge - Along with any hints or problems encountered when reloading this round. Nosler and a couple more of my other manuals don't mention this cartridge, so looking for your expertise. Tnx in advance....

The smokeless load that I used the most for my 32-20 was also 2.7gr Trailboss. I use all Lee dies with the collet FCD. Since W-W and Starline brass are both shorter than R-P, I use the R-P for smokeless and set up the dies for that, crimping in the groove. I use the same settings with the shorter brass for BP - it is crimped a bit below the groove but that's okay because the case is full of powder and the bullet can't push deeper and they still feed smoothly.

These rifles are known for extraction problems with the .357 sized bolt, but even with a good extractor fit mine has extraction issues due to a headspace problem that I'm still working on.

I load a 115 round nose flat lead bullet over 4.0 of Unique. Unique might be a little hard to find these days.

The bullets I currently am using are from SNS casting. $37 for 500. Although they appear to be running a sale on the 100 grain, because it says they are $15 for 500.

Although that might be a typo on their website and it's supposed to say 35. Don't know.

Added: just went to the site to buy some of them $15 for 500 bullets. That's for a hundred piece sample pack. The 115 grain is still the better deal.
