Let’s change the topic from “which brand is superior” to “what truly delivers results.” If you’ve optimized a 9mm platform for hitting targets at 100 yards, what barrel dimensions, chamber styles, triggers, and ammo loads contributed to your success? I’d love to see your group size data and any tuning notes you have!

I've been running a CZ Shadow 2 with a 5" barrel, a tight match chamber and a single-action trigger that pulls around 2.5lbs. When I shoot 147gr Federal Syntech over a sandbag rest, I consistently get 3-4" groups at 100yds. I've tried heavier bullets like 115gr and 124gr but the 147gr definitely gives me the tightest groups.

I keep detailed logs of every session and the consistency comes more from using quality ammo than from the gear itself.

I have an AR-9 w/16" barrel an 1:10" twist fitted with red dot optics. I reload the ammunition and use a 115 gr. FMJ bullet on top of WSPP and 6.1 gr of Power Pistol powder. Bench rest w/sand bags gives me 3" groups at 100 yds. However, should it become necessary, I would use my AR-10 (.308) beyond 50 yrs and the AR-9 inside of 50 yds. BTW - This is the same load that I use in my 9mm pistols - don't want any confusion as to what rounds go in which weapons!!
