Hit the water down in the Tampa Bay area this past weekend. Targeted snook, thinking the warm weather would get them biting. The water was pretty clear, and the tide was high, which I hoped would help. Tried out my go-to shrimp under a popping cork, but it was slow going. Had a few hits but only managed to land a decent-sized ladyfish and lost a nice snook right at the boat. Fished with a buddy who was just as eager but came up empty. Can't win 'em all, I guess! Anyone else having luck around here lately?

That's why it's called " fishing " and not " catching ".

We took the canoe out at Shell Mound campground boat ramp on the 4th & the 12th.
We usually take 3 poles each to target trout & reds, then a heavier pole for big black drum & bull reds & a pole for goin after sharks.
Fishing has been awesome, catching - not so much.
