Hi guys,

Took my french infantry musket for some practise with paper cartridges at the CFRPC range. 120 grains of powder and a hand cast .648 musketball

At 50 yards I was able to get a 3 shot 3 inch group which I was very pleased by, however there were lots of hang and misfires due to humidity

My brother was also able to get some nice footage with his camera that I turned into a little highlight video

you can see it here

Nice group!
I've got a couple questions:
What brand powder are you using?
And where did you get your cartridge box? It looks great.
Love the video!

Thanks!

Im using schuetzen 3f which I get cheap from my ACW reenacting group (20 bucks a pound), and the cartridge box is an 1855 cartridge box that i use for CW reenacting, so not historically accurate. I have no idea what brand it is sorry

Hope that helps!

Cool video for sure. Different powder for the pan and the barrel?
As someone who seems to have this nailed. I am thinking of a Traditions cap lock .32 Crockett rifle.
Your thoughts?
I used 3f for pan and main charge. I would say go for that crockett rifle!! But if you look around on the muzzleloadingforum I've seen DGW tennesee rifles in .32 sell for around 5 or 600. I find them prettier

Thanks. Deal just fell through so the Crockett gotta wait for now. The price is close to what I have seen for the crockett so its worth checking out.
