I was wondering how many of us on this fourm hunt WMA/Public Lands?
If you do what WMAs do you hunt?

I has access to about 13 private acres.
I'm allowed to hunt squirrel and hog only.
No deer or turkey. I'm cool with that. It's real nice to go there and just pop a few squirrel and a hog if some show up.
I hunt Croom, Flying Eagle, Half Moon the most. I'll go to Richloam, Upper Hillsborough and yes the Green Swamp.
Just curious.

I live next to Osceola so wander around there quite a bit (still hunting). This yr. I got a quota permit for Goethe, Cary State Forest and Ocala Powerline. Been doing some online scouting using Huntstand app until I can get down that way.

I've been wanting to hunt Osceola for awhile now. So busy with work I can barely make it to my local WMAs. Id like to go up there and hunt during Muzzleloading Season. Is it crowded up there?
I hunted turkey at Goethe years ago. Wife and I drive up to Chiefland now and then and cut through and walk Goethe. A buddy of mine hunted it for awhile. Lot of deer up there.
Not familiar with Cary. Hunted Ocala close to 40 years ago. The area we hunted was a dog hunt area. That was a crazy hunt. We were still hunting.
Andrew and Devils Hammock are 2 good areas to hunt so I'm told.
Best of luck to ya, hunt you have good hunt.

I usually hunt Three Lakes. (you are almost guaranteed to get a permit there)
Careful you don't get run over by the apparently 100's of four-wheelers and ATVs.

Prairie Lakes is much better, but harder to get. Got one this year though!

Kicco WMA is a great place, lovely views of the Kissimmee river, you can look for fossils, fish all you want, canoe/kayak, and if you're really bored you can even hunt!😉

Everglades headwaters has a lot of game, but it's a bit dry for my taste, I like lots of swamp.

Got a dove hunt at Hilochee late last year, it was great, I would go again.

Anyway, those are the ones I'm at the most. Wish I had access to private land, good for you!👍

Good thread topic, Thanks.
I live on some family owned land that I target shoot & deer & turkey hunt on, I can shoot other game here as well. But for hog hunting, which I really want to get into, I must go to a WMA for that. I got a TC New Englander .45 1:18 twist & I got my only friend I hunt & shoot with a TC White Mountain Carbine .50 just to muzzleloader hunt hogs with on WMA land. He has a canoe that we would like to use to go hog hunting out of too. I live 10-15 min from Osceola Nat Forest, I've been there to fish a cpl times at Watertown lake, but I've heard too much crap about there between the game wardens being on that place like flies on a turd & its packed full of inconsiderate, disrespectful Aholes & theives to want any part of hunting around there. So we have scouted a little at Watermelon Pond & Ft White, a little at Lower Suwannee. Thats it so far. I've not actually hunted any WMA land as of yet.
I'm a transplant to Fl so I don't know much about hunting public or WMA lands around me. I'll take all the assistance I can get on that.
