I'm building a Kibler Woodsrunner Flintlock Rifle for the first time.

I wish I could afford a Kibler, I have to make do with an Indian copy of a Brown Bess when I need to shoot a flintlock.

Them Woodsrunners are very nice. I just love mine. It handles great. It just feels right. Looks like you did a fine job polishing that lock. Please post some pictures when complete.

I like the blond.
I decided to go red.
I will reveal it in a week.
Here is a preview before last coat of oil, burnish, wax, buff.
It's different.
I love the traditional look and the French look of the blond. I just didn't want a rifle like everyone else's. I want it to stand out since it won't be my shooting.
Most people won't like this particular Woodsrunner, 54 cal, fancy maple, with engraving because it not 18th century style.
It was my first build and it's what I got.
I like it. We can duel with Flintlock pistols if anyone has anything negative to say.

I like that color. Well done.
I have only one Blondie the others are Iron Nitrate, LMF maple, or walnut.
I had intended to use Bone Black on the blonde one, and put some dark tones in the right areas. My wife saw it and loved it as is. I left it that way for her.
Theses WR are really nice to shoot. It feels natural to shoulder one, just feel right. The Southern Mountain Rifle is another fine Rifle to shoot. I have one in .32 caliber for squirrel hunting. Just love it.
