What do you mean?
I’m sorry, to me the lever action is an outdated, fairly impractical design for any so called “tactical” purpose.

It’s a wonderful design for reasonably close range hunting, totally ambidextrous, and you have to love the feel of the action, but…

Hanging a suppressor, m-lok rails, flashlight and high powered scope on a 16” 45-70 or 30-30 is just absurd, to my mind at least.

If you want to play with one because you think they’re neat, go for it!

But if you were planning to use it in some shtf, self defense type of scenario, a short, durable semi-auto in a common caliber would be miles better, I think.
And for hunting, they just look wrong, to me anyway.🙄

Hope I didn’t step on anyone’s toes there, those are my thoughts…😉

I agree good sir, I love the lever guns like you stated, within 100 yards. I enjoy hunting with my 46-70 on bear and large hogs. I own a Marlin that my uncle bought new in 1970 ill never alter it. I have bought a few over the years in 35 remington, 30-30, 44 mag, my son took a deer couple years ago with a 44. Many people have developed a fond service using the lever gun for self defense, not my bag

I agree with your concept, but for the hunting I don't have a problem with the lever gun. Oh, but they look pretty good in the back window.

I guess I wasn’t clear.
I just don’t like the “tacticool” lever guns for hunting.
THATS what I meant.
Nice Henrys!👍

I prefer the more traditional look for a lever action as I prefer blue and wood. I cannot wrap my head around the "tactical" versions, they just don't look 'right' to me. A funny thing is a few years ago I said to my son that if semi-autos get banned, the lever action will become the new "assault rifle" due to the magazine capacity and rate of fire. Lo and behold it is happening without a semi-auto ban!
