Ramen Stash for Prepping: Worth It?

I'm curious about keeping ramen in the prep stash. Not super nutrient-dense, but it's cheap, filling, and has a good shelf life. I've got a few cases stored, but how long do they actually last past the expiration date? Also, any better storage tips than just keeping them in the boxes? Do you guys rotate ramen regularly or have tricks to spice it up for long-term use? They seem to last way longer than expected!
