Pretty sure that setup is not legal.
You can carry a loaded firearm in your vehicle for self-defense, as long as it is not "readily accessible". They have defined readily accessible as --
In the glove compartment, whether it is locked or unlocked.
In a box with a lid, and they have decided that a zippered pistol rug qualifies as a box with a lid. Notice, it does not say the lid has to be closed or the rug has to be zipped. Just has to be in one.
And lastly - snapped in a holster. I don't see a snap on that thing.

I've tried out a bunch of different guns over the years, but I always find myself coming back to this old beater bolt-action in .308. I don’t have to worry about it getting another ding while bouncing around in the truck. It’s simple, dependable, and perfect for whatever I might need a truck gun for.
