When to replace barrels?

For anyone who's used up multiple barrels, what observations have you made about barrel life over the years? Do you notice that your replacement intervals tend to be consistent across similar platforms?

Ive gone through enough barrels by now to notice some trends. In my experience,its pretty consistent across the same platform and usage. My 6.5 Creedmoors usually last about 2500-3000 rds before the accuracy starts to drop assuming the loads and barrel quality are similar. The .308s tend to reach around 5000-6000 rds. As for my .223 trainer, its still holding up well past 8000 rounds but thats mostly with plinking loads.
