Anywhere close to water honestly. I own a thermal monocular and go at night, hogs are always around bogs or lake shore

You can go to the My FWC website and look at WMA Harvest report. It will show you number of hogs harvested during a Quota Hunt.
That might help you decide a good area to hunt.

I didn't know there was a limit on hog. I was under the impression they were so destructive and prolific that any time anywhere was the rule. Educate me.

No size limit.
No bag limit.
When hunting WMAs during a quota hunt all hunters must check in all game at check stations.
Quota Hunts limit the number of hunters.

Private land anytime and as many as the landowner will allow.

Public land, only when the game commission (or other government agency) says you can. There are some hog only opportunities on public land, permits are usually issued by quota / drawing.
