Music Recommendations and Daily Listening

I'm a guitar player dating back to the 70's. My musical tastes run from 50's BeBop & Rock A Billy to Motown to old school outlaw country, to all southern rock & classic rock from the late 60's through the hair band days, to bluegrass, & blues from delta blues to chicage blues to texas blues, Progressive rock from RUSH to Dream Theator or Pink Floyd, to Jimmy Buffet & CCR to grunge bands to Metalica or Pantera to classical when I'm in that mood. I draw a quick fast Hell NO line in the sand with all hiphop/cRap or opra, boy bands & pop. I'm not a jazz fan at all, but I can listen to some of that once in a while too.

I was just watching Tulsa King and saw this bit from Jelly Roll - that was interesting.

Tulsa King was a decent series, but ya lost me at jelly roll
I find that the series created by Taylor Sheridan will feature singers popular in the day, etc. It's....interesting, and I'm sure he's making more money hand over fist with other series like he did with Yellowstone etc...but the music is off putting for sure sometimes.

Agreed

Me too. I left out CCR which was my first concert in Cincinnati 1971, with Bo Diddy, and Tower of Power.

I was 14.
CCR was your first concert, that's super cool. Not a bad CCR song ever made.
My first concert was KISS at the Baltimore civic center in 1977. Then I saw Aerosmith with Golden Earring shortly after, then I was given a ticket to see the Allman bros. I've been to many many many concerts since them, I just wished that I remembered more of them.
