I Love Florida!

Just got back from spending 2 weeks in Cincinnati. I'd planned on going in September, but had to wait forever for the doc to set me up an appointment for the Mohs surgery. Getting that on the 11th.

On the way up there either in north Tenn of south KY there was a massive tractor trailer wreck that I sat in one spot over 2 hours. I had my drone with me and never thought to fly it down the road to see what was up. Most people shut their cars off and was walking around. Coming home was a near perfect drive, even Atlanta was a breeze. Never hit a single traffic jam. Drove 896 miles in 12 hours and 35 minutes.

It was most cold up there too. Everyday except one I felt like I was trudging thru the tundra. Too glad to be back in warm Florida!

Worst part of the trip was a phone call from Rustyt1953's wife Saturday morning at 10:05 telling me he had passed away an hour earlier. I visited him Friday afternoon, but I doubt he even knew I was there. Some of y'all may know him from the S&W Forum.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, but my folks moved to Fairfield as soon as I graduated high school. I put Cincinnati due to nobody knowing where Fairfield is. Just 15 miles north in Butler county.

I lived in a great section of Cincinnati, but hung out, and partied in the bad areas. Always carried brass knuckles, and a switchblade. Only place I'd rather grow up is where I live now. I could have learned to surf as a kid instead of when I was 40.

I know exactly where Fairfield is.
As a kid I lived in Oxford, outside Hamilton for about five years.
I’ve still got vivid memories of the history museum in Cincinnati, my family would go there almost every weekend, I loved it.

Coney Island, LeSourdsville Lake, The Zoo, and water skiing every summer weekend weather permitting.

Later on we hung out in Clifton, Alt and Eden Park, Winton, and Sharon Woods. One of my favorites was Edgewater Drag strip. Enjoyed many concerts at Cincinnati Gardens and Bogarts in Clifton. The Cupboard was the go to for drug paraphernalia.

Life was good back then.
