Shooting Shack Improvements

Modernizing my shooting shack that I have on my 200 yd range. I now have electricity!! Had to run 80 ft of 12/3 from my barn C/B box to the shack C/B box. Yep, outlets for accessories, Ring camera ready now and overhead fan/light will arrive Friday. I installed a 3'L x 8"W x 4'H steel lock box that was sold as scrap by Eglin AFB that I added an elect. outlet inside for recharging my Garmin Chronograph when not in use.
Have I forgotten anything? Any suggestions.....

That’s a good setup already. I will suggest that you maybe add surge protection, better insulation and a small wall-mounted tool rack for convenience and organization.

When I say a shack, it's 4, 4x4 legs with a tin roof (like a carport). I did add one of those silver sided tarps over the tin roof - it's 15 deg. cooler under this than the ambient. I'll add a 42", ABS plastic blade, outdoor ceiling fan/light that will arrive Friday from Home Depot. I have another 8' x 6' tarp added as a Rt. side drop curtain to stop empty hulls fired by semi-autos from disappearing. I did use a GFI C/B in the barn C/B box and all of the 80', 12/3 is enclosed in PVC pipe and buried; however, your suggestion of surge protection is appreciated and will be added - Tnx

Heated mat under the door threshold if winters get rough out there. Also a small dehumidifier does more work than people expect in a shooting shack over time.

Thanks for your suggestions. The facility is basically open - like a carport. So, no door.
Since my last post my local elect. coop dropped me off 2, 54" cable spools and I made a very good shooting bench out of 1 of them. Haven't decided what to do with the 2nd one - Maybe a gun cleaning table....
The wx around here has been hot - 93 deg. today and rain forecast starting tomorrow for a few days.
At my age one doesn't get into big hurries.......

Forgotten anything? Why yes, yes you did. Where is the in invitation to shoot 200 yards at your place?
No problem bringing snacks, cold drinks even adult beverage for when the guns are put up

LOL!! I'm ready when you are; however, the forecast for the next 10 days = RAIN!! We would have a tin roof over our heads, but the targets will get soaked.

Well seeing i am in Iceland just off the coast of an island I can not pronounce the name of, it will be a bit for me. But I enjoy shooting .22 - 45-70. Maybe we can work something out
