Figured it was time for a place to show off our dogs — hunting buddies, porch dogs, or just the ones stealing our pillows.

Got a pup that rides shotgun in the truck? One that barks at squirrels like it's their job? Let's hear it! Feel free to share how you ended up with your dog, any funny habits they've got, or stories from the field or the backyard.

Photos are highly encouraged — the more slobber, the better. Can't wait to see your four-legged best friends!

This is Blue, she just passed after 17 years. Didn't mean to start this with a sad post. Below is Sallie her follow up. Mostly beagle all hound (nose never leaves the ground. Both are rescues. Sallie is more puppy than we bargained for. Sweet dog but still kinda puppyish. We are in our 70's.

For 50 years my wife and I have rescued dogs. From the county shelter, and from the side of the road.
And even horses along the way.
When I was still working full time (wife is disabled hasn't worked outside the home in decades) we had 8 dogs, 3 horses, and 60 chickens.

Today, in retirement we are holding the line at 4 dogs and one horse. The number of laying hens depends on the wife. We had 24, but when Tractor Supply had baby chicks this spring we ended up with 24 more.
But fresh eggs every day is a wonderful thing!!

I'll post some of our dogs when I get the opportunity. When we adopt we try to get the old ones, the special needs ones, the shy ones that perhaps wouldn't get many other chances.

Good thing she's badly allergic to cats!!! But she does put food and water out for the ferals that hang around the stable and barns.

Here's my " feathered puppy ".
She is 35yrs old. I've had her for the last 20yrs & I can't imagine my life without her in it. She is completely spoiled rotten

Sounds lie us on steroids. At one time we had a pair of pheasants, a pair of grey geese a Solomon Island skink, a hedge hoge and a Macaw and a rescue horse. After I retired (forced to kinda) we still had a miniature Jack and Jenny. Nowpangor ban (2).webp its just three dogs a cat a Macaw, and a Blue tongue skink. But wife is on the prowl, Im sure.
