Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about where we buy our gear and get our guns serviced. What makes a gun shop trustworthy to you? I want to hear about your experiences—good or bad. Have you found a shop with a fantastic selection of used guns that won't break the bank? Or maybe you've had a frustrating encounter with some sketchy transfer fees? I'd love to know if there are spots you'd recommend or avoid in your area. Let's help each other out and share the names and locations of shops that really deserve the business. Looking forward to your thoughts!

Well, I'll get the ball rolling here. I'm in Indian river county, and I've got a bad one and a good one. The bad one is Indian river sportsman, 4185 US-1. I've had several bad brushes with employees here, particularly one time where three family members and myself came to use their indoor range. They took our money, then told us that we could only use two lanes. This although there was plenty of space. We left, haven't been back since.
Too bad, they were convenient.
The good one is Paul's Guns, 9090 N US-1, Sebastian. These guys are really great, I've never had an issue with them over MANY transactions. Their FFL is right on their website, so you can download it to use for transfers.
Hope this helps someone.

Shoot Straight in W Palm Beach great selection of guns and good range (and not big on Gun rental )
Bass Pro Shops in Davie,,small range I feel very safe there,,,(No rental guns)

I would like to find one in N Central FL that knows revolvers. Closer to Gainesville the better. Am willing to travel though.
I am looking for someone who is experienced with, and realllly knows their way around a wheelgun. Around here the knowledge base seems to be all about AR platforms. Remove, and replace parts to make it tacti-cool. I am sure there has got to be someone who knows these old SA guns.

I prefer the range at Gator Guns on Military and Okeechobee. Nice friendly crew. Isn't Bass Pro in Dania? I really like the way Bass Pro handles the range and the rangemasters.

Shootstraight has a yearly membership, bunch of us go every Tuesday..$300 for all year

Florida Firearms Academy in Tampa. 12 lanes but they let you draw from the holster if you take there class. Friendly people and the owners goes out of his to give back to the community - BIG TIME!
