I'm looking for opinions on what I should chamber my new rifle build in. My action is a long action with magnum bolt face. I'm leaning towards 7 PRC, but I'm not set in stone. I will be handloading whatever I chamber choose.

What’s the intended use of this build?

Hunting deer-sized animals and up in North America. Maybe a trip across the pond for ibex. And target shooting at a distance. I'm thinking that I should be able to push a 7 PRC or a 7-300 PRC to about 1,500 yd on target

Look into 7mm rem mag, handloads will reach those distances accurately and humanely. I only suggest because the ammo is available anywhere if you lose or forget otherwise 7mm prc is a great choice

I like the 7 rem mag, I load for one now. i agree ammo readily available, brass is inexpensive, and I have dies to load with. If probably change it up a bit to be a 7-300 win mag just to give it a bit more speed. The 300 win mag has more capacity than the 7 rem mag
