Hammer fired or striker fired

People like to debate hammer fired versus striker fired but it matters less than how much time you spend training with your choice because both systems work, so what really matters is familiarity and consistency.

Just use what you know, seriously. I can shoot CZs and Glocks pretty much equally well these days but it took years to make that DA/SA transition automatic. Just pick one system and really dig into it. All that talk about hammer versus striker is mostly just noise on forums what really matters is how good you are with it, not what kind of mechanism it has.

I've seen grandmasters out there with Glocks and then there are guys who can't even clear a holster with a three-thousand-dollar 2011. Really, the arrow matters a whole lot less than the person holding it.

I prefer hammer fired handguns, mainly because I prefer their triggers. I agree familiarity and adequate time training are the main drivers...

The P365 platform does work pretty well, but a .380 in that size just feels a bit pointless. A 9mm+P handles things perfectly fine. A red dot definitely helps but that whole ROSE thing is mostly just marketing, if you ask me.
