Headed to Shell Mound for some pier fishing tomorrow

Neither one of us feel like loading up the canoe & all of our gear, so we are going to keep things simple & since the pier is now open - again, we’re looking forward to a peaceful relaxing day of fishing & meeting new ppl & maybe seeing some of the “ regulars “ that fish off of the pier again.
We normally get to SM or CK on the low tide & we gave waders & cast nets to catch our own bait. We have crab traps too for the black drum.
I’ve got 2 turkey hearts & a deer heart that I’m going to see if the sharks like it.
I’ll post pics if we get into some fish.

Too far, unfortunately.

I bet any sharks in range will go for those hearts in a big way. Down here the go-to is the biggest mullet head you can find.
