Newbie from Mount Dora

Hi folks,
Thanks for the invite to this forum. I've lived in Central Florida for over 60 years and semi-retired from Winter Park to Mount Dora about 10 years ago to get away from the "urban sprawl". Most of my guns are self defense types for home defense and concealed carry. I also have an AR and one of the 1872 Peacemaker copies I used once upon a time when I was active in Cowboy Action Shooting. I also belong to the IDPA #0007.

I hope to contribute to this forum from time to time and maybe learn a few things along the way.

I was looking at Winter Park recently to move to, but I find Mount Dora to be much more economical so I can appreciate the urban sprawl comment!

Hoping to see you around the forum, and might have to pick your brain about which areas to avoid in Mount Dora if we move out there

Interesting. My semi-retirement is that of a real estate broker for over 40 years. My office is now in Mount Dora and I do work with clients that seek me out so, if you want to pick my brain just send me a PM and I'm glad to help. I hope this reply isn't inappropriate.

Cowboy shooting hates urban sprawl you will add a lot. Welcome from a guy who has tried to outrun urban sprawl, but I think it caught me here in So Fla. Kids are here and moving again is a horrible thought.
