Primer shortage changed how I think about inventory forever

Watching a reloading setup sit idle because you can't find small pistol primers is a feeling I don't want to repeat. Steady inventory management is a skill now, not a luxury.
 
I used to laugh at guys stockpiling primers. Then I hit a dry spell and couldn’t find any for months. I found myself rationing like it was wartime, it took the hard way to learn that one.
 
I had a gun shop in UPSTATE NY during the Obama years. I sold a lot of Shotgun reloading supplies and ammo. I was so hard to get supplies I went weeks without shooting so I could sell what few supplies I could get to my customers. I swore it would never happen to me again. I started stocking up when the shortage eased up. I now probably have enough Shotgun, Pistol and rifle supplies to last me the rest of my life. I also got out of NY 9 yrs. and 7 months ago and relocated to Florida.
