I'm thinking about a zoom type range camera - does anyone have any experience with these devices? My range is 200 yds, so don't need a 2 mile sniper device. Looking for comments or advice. Tnx

I’ve seen a few at ranges lately. For 200 yards they work great. Longshot cameras seem to be the most common choice.

I’d just grab the Longshot Marksman 300 because it super clearand saves you a ton of back-and-forth trips.

I gave one a try at a buddy's shooting spot and it really cut down on all the walking. Out at 200 yards, it felt more like a nice extra than something I truly needed but once you've had it, well, it's pretty tough to give up that convenience.

I do a lot of 5 shots and "New Session" on 8.5x11" BR-1, 100 yd targets for load work-ups and at 86+++ Y.O. the walking back and forth exceeds my daily exercise program. So, I see Range Camera plans for the near future. Even with my Leupold spotting scope the .17 Mach IV and .223 holes are hard to see with my 86+++ y.o. eyesight. Therefore, I'm moving the range camera up to the "something I really need" category. Thanks for sharing your experience.
