I would reach out to Smith and Wesson Customer service. Other manufactures have been able to assist me with issues such as this.

Thanks to all for help and guidance provided.

Fortunately, the "screw is on the mail" as I write this update

I believe new screw and 2 others holding down the side plate will all benefit from a dab of Locktite.
