Shooting advice from TV shows that'll get you killed

Shooting from the hip like they do in Westerns is a great way to miss everything. Holding a pistol sideways looks cool until you realize the sights don't work that way. And my personal favorite, shooting the gun out of someone's hand. That's not a thing. That's not how any of this works...entertainment isn't training.

Don't forget swinging a revolver to close the cylinder like a "cool dude." My dad did that once to my prized S&W Combat Magnum. He was never allowed to touch that gun again.

Spray and pray segments...just shooting up all their ammo. Also, the sequences where the guns never seem to need to be reloaded...unlimited ammo.

 That whole "rack the shotgun for intimidation" thing you see on TV just absolutely drives me crazy. Real defensive encounters are already chaotic enough without purposefully giving away your position or wasting precious time trying to sound dramatic for the bad guy.
