Vortex riflescope

Any experience with Vortex riflescopes? I'm thinking of ordering one.
Yes, I've had a cpl Vortex scopes in both FFP & SFP a well as diff price ranges. I've had no complaints out of their scopes - for their price point & should you ever need anything, their warranty & cust serv is second to none.
I currently only have 1 Vortex scope, which is on my .45 smokeless muzzleloader bench rest target rifle. Its a Viper PST Gen2 5-25x50 FFP IR MOA.

What is it going on and your planned use. Vortex makes some good scopes
Exactly! And good point to make. Sooo many guys have no clue as to how to pair up a rifle & scope for their intendned use.
For far too long, I didn't either. And educating myself on that subject then learning about what quality glass & understanding what diff scope options actually are just created a champagne & caviar taste on a beer & slimjims budget which is abit frustrating.

I know a few people that have Vortex (VIPER PST, RAZOR HD, STRIKE EAGLE, CROSSFIRE II) have not heard any complainants. Two guys had to send them in (operator error-don't tell them that I'm telling you about that!) and Vortex took care of them/the problems. All feedback that I have heard is positive.

Vortex first hit my radar around 2005. Back then, every time I researched them, I kept running into the phrase from online posts “they have a lifetime warranty for a reason.” That honestly made me wary — it sounded like they expected their products to fail. So I stayed away, sticking with Leupold, Zeiss, and Meopta, which I was very happy with at the time.

Fast forward about 7–10 years, and I had an opportunity to buy pallets of returns from Dick’s Sporting Goods. In the first few pallets, I found several Vortex scopes that had been returned for various reasons. Out of curiosity, I sent them all through the Vortex website for warranty service — and every single one was repaired or replaced without question. By the time those returns dried up, I had warrantied around twenty scopes, all handled quickly and professionally.

Since then, I’ve completely gotten over my initial wariness. I started buying their budget scopes and now I own dozens of Vortex optics across different tiers — scopes, red dots, rangefinders, binoculars, you name it. Their customer service and consistency have earned my confidence. I’m not wary of Vortex anymore — in fact, I recommend them to everyone.

Great write up. TY

What made me choose them was seeing how well they handle their warranty process. I had a couple of older Vortex scopes that I returned just to see how it would go. They took care of everything swiftly without any questions asked. That really built my trust in them. After that, I started picking up more of their optics, even the budget-friendly ones, and I haven’t faced any issues since. Now, I genuinely recommend Vortex to just about everyone I know. Their customer service alone gives me the confidence to invest in their products, and the optics have consistently proven to be reliable. I wouldn’t think twice about putting a Vortex scope on any rifle I plan to take out in the field.
