What do you rely on to get around? Whether it's your trusty daily driver, a weekend cruiser, or that project car sitting in the garage, let's see what you're rolling with. I'm still rocking my old Accord; I've thought about upgrading, but the no car payment life is hard to beat. Share some pics and tell us about your ride!

2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab 4X4, Off Road Package (Z-71), towing package.
I bought it brand new in September 2007 and she now has 306,000 miles on her.
It has the full option SLT trim. I wanted every option available except sun roof (they leak after a while).

My current dd is a 2023 Toyota Camry XLT with the 6-cylinder engine, which is the main reason we bought it. We wanted a sedan that could get out of its own way without breaking the bank.

Neighbors just went from an Avalon which I thought was very swanky to a Rav4 as they are getting older and want something they didn't have to as much trouble getting out of. They had such little trouble with their Avalon, it was beautiful and they had over 150k miles on it 15 years old too.

I feel like you got a good for sure. My dads 2015 Chevy version causes him nothing but trouble, but his 1996 Silverado had 250k nicknamed Old Blue just keeps ticking away (everyone in the family uses it for moving, etc lol)

2023 Ford Maverick. The previous car was getting to be the strand master and a money pit beyond belif. and I had to do something

Maverick looked fun useful and cheap. Good for me I don't think I would ever use the capacity of a F 150 and in a crew cab way too much money. Something used very expense then 3 years old and lotsa miles.

Beginning in 2007 until GM finally acknowledged in 2018 the BIG engineering boondoggle of the 5.3 Active Fuel Management, where the engine switches between 4 and 8 cylinders to conserve fuel, has wiped out countless engines.
A valve lifter or several will fail and take the camshaft with it. Minimum parts and labor starts at $2100 around here.

I bought a small module for $280 that plugs into the diagnostic port and locks the engine into 8 cylinders full time.
With my towing rear axle ratio and locked into 8 cylinders I get 14.8 MPG but that's cheaper than blowing the motor.

In 18 years and 305,000 miles I have replaced the alternator, the rear main seal, the AC needs a new compressor, the driver's side motor mount is broken, control arms and ball joints on both sides were replaced, and one (1!) brake job.
Not bad!!
I use full synthetic oil and Wix XP filters only.

'19 Mustang gt coupe, PP1, magnaride, all the bells and whistles, I bought it new at a super deal price and zero interest rate for my birthday 6 yrs ago. undeniably the best handling, fasted, and very comfortable car I have ever owned, plus on long road trips can get up to 26 mpg not bad for 460 hp , in my youth a car with this power might get 5 to 9 mph and drive/ride like a stagecoach .
