Traditional Muzzleloader Hunting

I was wondering if anyone here hunts with Traditional Muzzleloaders. Flint or Percussion?
If so what game do you hunt?
What Traditional Muzzleloaders do you use?

I hunt with muzzleloaders all season long but only with modern inline & smokeless muzzleloaders.
I only have 1 percussion sidelock & its got a fast twist barrel liner in it & I shoot modern jacketed bullets & sabot loads out of it. That whole " traditional " thing, soooo - not my thing. I'm hoping to meet more ppl into modern inlines & custom smokeless muzzleloaders to talk shop with.
Why not create a thread for all muzzleloaders in here, not just limited to traditional roundball shooters? Blah!

I think I will start a modern muzzleloader/smokeless muzzleloader thread indeed. I didn't think that this forum really needed to have separate muzzleloader sections, but if there has to be that "line in the sand", I will be on the modern/smokeless side of it where I belong.

Niner, by no means am drawing a line in the sand. I didn't join this Fourm to do that.
If someone would of posted, " I don't get into traditional muzzleloading, but do get into modern muzzleloading." I would have been happy to see the post. and probably replied about what he shoots and hunts.
Again I figured there might a some folks close by that might like to go squirrel hunt at of the local WMA.
No line drawn be me.

I drag my .76 Brown Bess repro around the wood as often as I can, but haven't been able to damage anything with it yet.

I also hunt with an armsport.45 percussion longrifle, small enough for squirrels, big enough for deer. In theory, anyway.

Recently got a couple of original percussion shotguns, a single 10 ga, and a double 13 ga, (still working on that one) I'm really looking forward to using them in the woods.

Nice selection of muzzleloaders ya got there.
How do you like that Bess? I'll bet it make shot work on a big ole gobbler.
Jim Kibler is going to be offering a Brown Bess Kit sometime next year. His kit are real fun to assemble.
Nice mess of shotguns. Really nice.
I have a few shotguns and a Fowler and a .58 smoothbore.
When I squirrel hunt I use one of my .32s one percussion the other a flintlock, and my little CVA Brittany Double Barrel Percussion .410. Love that little thing.

Cool GSM, glad to hear that. TY for your reply. I didn't take offense by any means, & though you didn't draw the proverbial " line in the sand " here, we both know very well that in the forums & the real shooting community that there is a very big, very definitive line in the sand between most " traditionalists " and all other muzzleloader shooters. I'm proudly as far from a "traditionalist" as one can get, and still be shooting a muzzleloader. I'm happy to openly & intelligently talk all things muzzleloader, with all of those capable of doing the same. Well wishes

When I started using it, what really surprised me was that the weight bothered me a lot more than the length. I'll remember that when I get around to building my own smoothbore someday.

One is a Kibler SMR Kit. Love putting it together. 44" swamped barrel.

The other is a Crockett Rifle. Factory assembled.

Both are very accurate. I've not shot much more than 30 to 35 yards. Cheap to shoot also.
